I agree, Hyperspace stories was a surprise. The art is very young reader oriented but the story was fun.

Aphra continues to be the best of the lot of the SW comics. Wong does such a great job of making the reader gleefully cheer for characters you shouldn't want to root for, and not in a kinda toxic cynical way either. As for Vader, I found this issue to be a step up from last issue, but not quite back to the height of the beginning of Pak's run. I will say that seeing Vader ride the pod had me smiling the whole time. I also really enjoyed the fact that the issue actually opened up with probably the most detested and derided lines of dialogue in all of Star Wars, and yet, somehow, within the context of the story being told and Vader's relationship to Tatooine, it works here. I felt pretty much the same as you did with Hyperspace Stories. It was fun, and the one story an issue format, as opposed to the two shorter stories of the SW Adventures, works a lot better and give the beats time to breathe.
