Do you feel the same as me in that ‘The Acolyte’ has a major opportunity to do a lot bridge building between THR and Prequel era? But on the flip-side; Could it suffer from disappointing fans if it doesn’t do that as much as could be expected?

It depends on when it takes place I guess. I don't think it'll disappoint too many people, because most Star Wars fans haven't read THR. And if most THR fans are like me, they'll just be thrilled to see the aesthetic on screen haha
