It seems Boba is learning something the Jedi never quite understood: How relationships and bonds not only create, but also control power. The Jedi saw the dangers of uncontrolled power in the Sith. But the Jedi Order's way of controlling power seemed to rely a lot on principles and rules - rules they expected every Jedi to embrace, undstand and adhere to largely by themselves. The Order secluded itself, both on an individual and institutional level, almost as if viewing outside connections as a danger that could carry confusion and deviation from their teachings into their midst. Being a crime lord, Boba is never under the illusion he could expect all people he deals with to adhere to strict "laws" he lays down. He expects people to act emotional and in their self interest. But he is learning how a connection between them all, like the agreement between the families, can become a way of controlling all the power they hold, how dependencies, mutual interests and feuds can work in his favor. It's just really interesting seeing how such a different figure deals with the question of power in this universe.
