That is why I am your king. Dennis the Peasant: Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony. Arthur: Be quiet! Dennis the Peasant: You can't expect to wield supreme power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!

Pershing is probably just interested in his research and/or his career and he will co-operate with whoever gives him the chance to do his research. A lot of nazi scientists were not very political and worked for whoever let them do their research. First the nazis, later the Americans. Mollie, I'm mourning with you! I'm a Baby Grogu stan, too. He and his relationship with Din were the heart of the series. I hope it doesn't become heartless now. In my opinion, it has too much violence and Baby Grogu was a good relief from that.
