Dooku may not have directly taken revenge on Hondo but he did send Grievous after him in Season 5.

Hypothesis: the substance is sprinkled in all the drinks, and is processed differently by Weequay. Also, am I right that this is the first basis we see to set up Hondo's respect for the Jedi that he articulates in the penultimate episode if Rebels?
