Astra - Monthly Update (September 2022) (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

Hope everyone is having an amazing Wednesday so far!!!!! This is a phat monthly update so let's get started with the biggest piece; we have the read-only version of Episode 4 now available!

If you downloaded it from the previous post, please get the V2 one as it made a bunch of bug fixes (an especially important one that accidently skipped a Luna romance event) as well as some tweaks to earlier episodes.

We are still on pace to have the art version of episode 4 in about 2-3 weeks or so. With that bit of news done, let's get back to our regular scheduled program!

WRITING

The full planning of episode 5 is completed, we will be moving on to scripting now! Short but sweet update for writing this month.

CHARACTER ART

A new Vaela CG is in! This is a scene where she is being extra smug and sassy pretending to be stuck to 'tempt' MC, but it ends up backfiring on her when she actually gets stuck! Not being able to see makes her panic when she feels MCs hands who, in actuality, is just trying to help her get out. Just Vaela and her over-active imagination!

BACKGROUND ART

We finished up the space doc for one of the shady planets! It has been a light BG progression this week as our other artist was having some hardware issues. They'll be back to normal by the end of the week and will be back to creating new BGs soon.

ANIMATION

The full UI is in! You can play around with it in the Read-Only V2 of episode 4.

PROGRAMMING

Unfortunately we had to part ways with our previous narrative developer as they informed us they'd no longer be able to continue on the project.

With that being said, we searched for another narrative developer and one one with a strong background in Naninovel and scene design. They got all of episode 4 read-only done in just a week and have already moved on to the art version! So far their work has been extremely good with quite the strong QA. We have high hopes and so far they have been delivering! Hopefully when we have the art version done next month you can see how you like their scene designs! 

AUDIO

Phat news in this category, we are now working on our opening song! Right now it is with Eric to come up with a jamming tune, but after that we'll be on the lookout for a lyricist and vocalist(s). Stay tuned (pun intended :P) to see how the opening song starts coming together.
