PixelFade - New Update Suggestion (Vote you Preference!) (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

Hope everyone is having a great week so far!! Just here to share a new idea that I think may be beneficial in terms of tracking progression and also giving an overall look at what has been completed. Basically, on the 22nd of every month (not like that date has any PixelFade significance...baka!), I'd post an update with the different components and what has been done. This would be broken down into writing, character art, background art, animation, audio and programming.

Sometimes we post a few things on Discord that don't really warrant a full post on Patreon which would get captured in these updates, whereas I'll still continue other posts when it makes sense to elaborate much further or show a WIP flow. Imagine these updates as a quick 'snapshot' so that someone just joining can jump to all the monthly posts to get up to speed + see progression in real time.

So this will be the first September 2021 test post and if you guys are a fan of this formatting, we'll continue it every month going forward. So without further delay, let's get started!

WRITING

We are just about halfway done the episode 3 - part 1 script and most of it is drafted up already. I still need to review some of the content and the writers are scripting the final scenes. Based on projections, I would say the read only version of this will be available in mid October! No roadblocks to report, things are smooth sailing so far.

CHARACTER ART

Sunimu is working through the Live2D models for Celeste now! As mentioned before, the amount of layering to have a smooth animation is quite extensive so these take a bit of time. So far, Sunimu has completed her base character with the default outfit and her swimwear! We have her casual outfit to go and then it will be off to the final Live2D character currently planned: Kai!

BACKGROUND ART

Backgrounds are coming well between our two artist! We have just finished up The Captains Quarters on Aetos (Iris' room :OOOOOOOOO) as well as the indoor skydiving and a spaceport office! More BGs are in the works as well as we speak with no hiccups so far. ;^)

ANIMATION

Our animator finished Iris' rig a week or so ago and has been hard at working designing her expressions. Iris was more tricky as her emotional range stays within a lower spread of deviation. That being said, she did an excellent job capturing her personality and I can't wait to see her body poses which is being worked on next!

PROGRAMMING

Nothing to report on this front. Once the script is completed, this section will get busy with getting the read-only version underway!
