Astra - Ship Design Concepts (Finalization Vote!) (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,


It looks like ship A and F were the most popular designs so we made refinements by taking the best elements from both! And with that, please see below for AF-1 and AF-5, the main difference is the cockpit area. AF-1 is a more shuttle/hefty look while AF-5 is a bit more sleek and futuristic.


Please feel free to vote on your favourite one and this will be the ship design we will move forward with! On another note, we'll eventually name the ship so if you guys have any early suggestions or ideas, please feel free to share below. ;^)

I have 2 name suggestions i made on the discord, (Dynamically Advanced World Navigation) Ship or as a joke (Dishu Approved Waifu Navigation) Ship, both being an acronym for D.A.W.N

Forgot to say this in the last thread about ships, but... SPAAAAAAAACE! :D I seem to recall *specifically* requesting this genre choice, and am happy to see it. :D

AF-5 definitely for me. As for a name how about The Majestic

I'm definitely going with AF-5. As for names, it's silly but I'm going to go with this one since there is some significance for this acronym which you'll have to translate to find, lol: TDIK (Total Defense Independent Kitt)

How about a flying mythical creatures name like The Wyvern or The Phoenix . (Gives it the feeling of something a merc would name their ship to sound cool)

Or if we could name it ourselves in each playthrough. I get that it would complicate it with voice and such. Would still be cool imo.

AF-5 is my vote. As for names, I do enjoy several suggestions from prior comments (Phoenix and D.A.W.N. being my top two). If the ship's name will not be spoken in VA (referred to as just 'the ship' or 'my baby' or something), naming it ourselves would be fun. Otherwise if I suggest just doing a game title reference for the ship and call it the Astra or the Ascension or something. :)
