Please do not read this if you haven't read Girls & Bridle Chapter 5 yet. It contains spoilers, and I don't want to make you super sad. ;)

I thought I would take a moment to write an afterword about Girls & Bridle since we are entering this series' last stretch. I'm not sure how many more chapters there will be, but we are getting closer to the Triple Crown event, and there is no more time to waste. The ponygirls and trainers have to come together and start training like never before.

Believe me or not, chapters 1 to 5, which is about 60 000 words total, were all written on the same weekend. It was one of those moments where I got a crazy strong inspiration and just wanted to destroy my keyboard. This is probably why there had been such a beautiful consistency in style so far. The characters have their own voice and personality, and the storyline is strong. This is what happens when I write so much in a very short time; the text is fresh to my memory, and I don't make as many mistakes.

When I edited the two parts of chapter 5 recently, I really got a sense of how good that story was. I mean, I love animal café, I love feliformia, but Girls & Bridle is the only one that has a defined storyline and a clear goal. Win the triple crown.

Granted, there is not a lot of kink outside the fact that they are ponies. I know that this story is not what many of you want to read. Hemlock and Nightshade did their best so far to share their sex drive, but it has always been kept at a lower level. Yes, G&B is more about the story and entertainment, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Chapter 5 was special, though. I consider it to be the best chapter I had ever written. It contains everything that, to me, makes a story interesting. It focused on two different sets of characters, Paul's stable and Penny's stable, but halfway through, it merged into one. It was a perfect way to show that even if they are two different teams, what one does will influence the other.

Even if Paul's team has been labeled as the "bad" team, I tried to use them to display some essential positive values. Hemlock and Nightshade really promote the importance of being yourself, no matter what a person might like.

The scene with the young Hemlock meeting Stardust and the scene with the young Athena meeting hemlock was also good to show that even if they are famous elite ponies, they care a lot about the values they want to pass down to the younger generation. They promote being yourself while not pretending that everything is necessarily possible, like when it is admitted that not everybody was genetically engineered to become an elite racer.

In chapter 5, I also like the two new characters who showed up. Ivory and Stardust. Ivory was so fun to create and play with. She was a cute little pony, dressed in white latex with a non-aggressive personality, yet she found a way to control Moon and Star. As for Stardust, a strong charismatic woman who will potentially have mistress traits… it's going to be fun. Hey, did you know that I didn't know Stardust would purchase Paul stable until the moment when Nightshade stupidly walked to her while Xiu was trying to stop her? :) … Then I was like … "Holy shit… it's Stardust!" ;)

Brittany was another character that I found very entertaining. Since the beginning of the story, she was depicted as a heartless bitch, but in chapter five, we discovered that she was an actual human being with desires, problems, ambitions, and guilty pleasures. I loved when Hemlock managed to invite her to a show to watch small ponies. It revealed Brittany's childish side, and it was very refreshing.

I want to thank everybody who has been following this series from the beginning and gave it a try even if there were not many perversions. Not all stories could be like Animal Café, or else AC wouldn't be special.

But I heard you during the last survey. I will attempt to give you more petgirls and more latex, but there is not a chance in the world that I can put aside Girls & Bridle until it is completed. :) Ah well, if you support me, you have to endure my selfish love for cute ponies. ;) Hehe.

Thanks all for reading, and now I can go back to work on chapter 6 :)

Love this story. You write great twists and cliff hangars.

Personally I prefer stories that focus more on the plot.

I didn't about that before, but at some point, I used a great cliffhanger in one of my stories and people commented like crazy. I think it was when Alex kissed a girl at the Fox & Spice club. That's when I realized that not only it was fun, but it also motivates the readers to read the next part. Keeping you engaged, I would hope, makes it more entertaining for you. :)

Yes, for sure. But occasionally, a bit of debauchery doesn't hurt. I like putting my brain aside and just have fun. :)

Sjoerd

It's a beautiful story with a great plot. Keep trying different things, then there's something for everyone to enjoy. (And that includes you as the writer ;))

Thanks man. Show ponies are little but very cool to have by your side. They get you by their sheer number and big eyes. ;)
