Happy Friday!

Here is a new chapter of Girls and Bridle. It is one of my favorites because it is full of love and also touch about many aspects of what it means to be a ponygirl.

I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did. It is rare that even after 3 editing passes I'm still not tired of reading it. :)

Thanks for reading!

PS: Did you notice the new font, formatting, and section glyphs? :)

So not the best start to a racing career.

A humilating start to Moonlight's first race. Hemlock and her friend seem to becoming showponys more and more.

The glyphs look kinda cute and they are good means to seperate different parts of the story without having to mention a change in location.

Also I find the formatting easier to read especially on my phone.

You'll see where this is going later. :) Hemlock and Nightshade are such great athletes, it's unlikely that they want to become show ponies. ;)

They are indeed very cute. I had a lot of fun creating it out of a bigger image. :)

Yes, I think the small tabs are helping to separate lines of dialogues and the text is also justified. I used Time New Roman since it is a proven and reliable font for novels. :)

I now understand your comment about liking Moonlight best, she has the most growth as a character, the others paint the picture and the world and she benefits from the extra details. Also I really liked the scene with Tiantang and the night sky, so heartwarming :)

I'm not sure what comment you are referring to, but I say a lot of things in a day. hehe. But you are right, moonlight, for now, is the character with the most interesting growth. But Morning Star's presence will be felt strongly once she gets better. Hemlock and Nightshade will be extremely important as well. Thanks for liking the scene with Xiu and Tiantang. I was very happy with it. I really wanted to make it clear that those two are lovers and that they will never leave each other.

I love how her nerves/enthusiasm/hubris get the better of her for that first race. Wanting to pull out at such a pivotal point is so human. The fact that Sophie isn’t allowing it gives a sense of just how much experience she has.

I remember when I bought my first computer, I went to the store and couldn't remember my debit card PIN. ;) ... anxiety can fuck with your brain big time. ;)
