Nearly every day this summer, I walked about ten miles each way to the old pioneer graveyard outside of town. The stones gave off this tremendously Gothic vibe, the white marble cool under the shade of Valley Oak boughs. It's a sunny walk to the cemetery, in +110º heat, with nothing but the lizards and the oaks for company. Sometimes the occasional stray cat. And my music, of course. And the spirits.

The music here continues the theme of the last mixtape I shared with you... In fact, Palma's Room was supposed to be made of off-cuts from this very tape. Like its sibling, the sounds herein are breezy, "airy and freewheeling". It's music to accompany the song of the whip-poor-will, the babbling brook, the wind in the willows. It's calm but stimulating, invigorating. I listened to quite a lot of this during my walks. The rest is music I've come across since, that I wish I'd had with me on the trail.
