Nisi Shawl is best known for their science fiction and fantasy dealing with gender, race, and colonialism, including the Nebula finalist novel Everfair.  They're the co-author of the classic text on inclusivity Writing the Other: A Practical Approach, and co-teach Writing the Other courses online and in person.  Shawl’s story collection Filter House is a winner of the James Tiptree, Jr. Award, now the Otherwise.  Their most recent fiction publication is the collection Talk Like a Man, part of PM Press's Outspoken Author series. Their Twitter handle is @NisiShawl, and they promise to update their website soon.
