Hi Patreons!

Just thought I'd get some thoughts and advice on the situation I'm having right now. Previously, I'd been using Twitter to do most of my outreach, and it was working well enough, as most of you likely found your way here through twitter.

Early on, it was going extremely well, with one of my tweets hitting 1.5 million viewers! Unfortunately after that, it got hit with a search suggestion ban, which hurt, as posts that were getting seen by 30-100k people were now down to 5-20k people. That carried on for a while, slowing growth a lot, but was still acceptable, as I managed to build from 10k to 20k followers still!

In the last week or so, I got hit with a more insidious ban... a sort of partial ghost ban - where most of my followers could no longer see my tweets in their timeline! That really caused things to tank - as my views went from 10k to a 1.5-2k per tweet.

That's a real problem for all of us - a big part of my impetus for making content for you all on a daily basis was to make that tweet to help get impressions and views! Take that way and I'm putting in a lot of work while losing subs!

More problematically, Twitter seems to be detecting new accounts I make and putting the same search suggestion ban on them.

As a result, I'm looking for new different avenues to keep marketing this patreon and keep us alive. Let me know of some good ideas please! I'm thinking using e-hentai and setting a gallery up with my mods there... I've seen someone do that with my mods already, but they're not updating with the new stuff, just the stuff they like to use (completely understandable).

I'll also resume activities on Gamebanana and Nexus I think... but those sites are quite time consuming to post to, while offering only modest returns - so I've got Shinya helping me there for the most part :P

Also pornhub for vids post! Beyond that, any more normie platforms that you guys all use that is a bit more NSFW friendly would be greatly appreciated. I still plan on setting up twitter again - but I'll probably have to use an account that's a bit disconnected from myself so it doesn't get search banned right away, and it'll have to be a lot more SFW!

Because of all this going on in the background, it's definetly impacting on my ability to make content for you all - I'm spending the time I'd spend on making mods on trying to figure a way around these social media/marketing blocks, so apologies for the inconvenience in the short term; but I wanted to tackle it now, before it got to the point where I'd feel like this patreon work was no longer worth my time (as it'd be more financially sensible to resume my SFW work!)

In the mean time, work on Jean continues - the exciting visual part is largely over (the modelling of the mesh), but there's still a good amount of work involved in making her a mod; UV mapping, texture setup/transfer, VG group remapping/reweighting/etc.

oh no please no i don't want this patreon and neither your gigachad work to go away spending my money on the highest tier of this patreon has been the best decision i have ever made on my life it would be really sad that it all dissapears :( i really hate this new puritan and hypocrite world that we live in and as for platforms i don't know if using Pornhub is a really good idea i don't know if you knew about the whole ban massacre that happen like on 2018 or 2019 that a lot of anime/hentai related content was banned on Pornhub (even god dam R18 ASMR's with an anime picture as a backgroud got banned) so yeah i don't think pornhub is a great idea tho as for Twitter i don't know why the heck they are shadown banning you on there i mean you can find literal porn (and really explicit porn too) on Twitter so again this is all because of "OOOooohhh NO AAAaNiMe BBbAAadD" i was going to suggest FANTIA (it is a japanese site where people well more like woman can sell porn videos but there is also some R18 MMD content creators on there and also R18 and doujin artist but i don't really sure if genshin mods would work on there not because they are not allowed or anything but maybe because of some other reason) Sorry if i cannot recommend any other platforms is ironic that i am so noob on NSFW platforms XD :( oh and what previous characters i would like variants for? again it would be Yelan Rosaria and Raiden Shogun

Thanks AshenOne! Puritanism definetly makes a lot of life for us horny types uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure they get off on the sexual repression like some sort of weird psycho-social BDSM! You know, I study economy (and english too, i hope i can explain well what i want to tell, in a easy way to undarstand) and I see that people who solve some problem, some demand from people, they are rewarded for that. companies like apple, amazon, spaceX are billionaires because they solve people's problems or demands. apple always bringing the latest in technology; amazon having a large amount of products and being able to deliver them quickly; and spaceX that sends satellites quickly and cheaply into space. And you, you solved our demand, which was the lack of Lewd content that we wanted so much in genshin, and with that you were rewarded. But as in every business, there are times when we need to renew ourselves to remain competitive, I met you with the hutao bunny girl mod, the video you posted on twitter appeared to me without even having researched about genshin mods. When I became a subscriber I thought you would reach 1k subscribers in a short time, but with the problems you mentioned I see that even your publications on twitter almost do not appear for me. So with all that, how about you make short videos of 30 sec or 1 min, but all SFW? Show just a small snippet of the background of the creation of the modeling, or the mod already made in the game and post it on tiktok, you tube or even twitter, ask Shinya to do this because she is very good at making edits, I even use it some pictures that she maked before as wallpaper because I think it's too beautiful. And post only SFW photos on these sites, and if they want to see something more NSFW they can subscribe to patreon, and right here on patreon post in the free gallery post something more SFW you know, just the character with less clothes, but without showing much, and in the subscribers gallery you post the most lewd version. Well, you managed to grow very quickly at the beginning, but growing from 1 to 10, from 100 to 200 is easy. but now you have a barrier to overcome and renew yourself to keep growing, and if you overcome this barrier, you will be very well rewarded, I can guarantee you that. And man, content and interaction you alredy have, I already stopped subscribing to many patreons because the guy stayed days or even weeks without posting anything, and you're always creating content for us

Thank you. Yes... after thinking the whole day, it seems like this can be seen as an opportunity if I manage to rise and respond in kind to it. It's a barrier - but life will always throw barriers at you. And if you have the skills and ability to figure out ways around them, then they can be opportunities for further growth! So hopefully we can overcome this issue and in time see it as a minor stumbling block! But in the mean time, I won't be able to focus everything on mod creation while dealing with it D:

Yes... I think at this point I have to simply do more marketing work - twitter was very comfortable because the amount of effort to do it was very low, and yet still hit a lot of people. Now I want to work hard enough so I can hire a proper marketer to take care of this work for me! Someone who can make vids and pics. I know Shinya can do it, but I want her working more with me on my models and textures! :D In the mean time, I'll have to be the one roll up my sleeves and do it again! So apologies to patreons in advance - it'll take time away from modding, but in the longer term, if I can grow the patreon, I can hire people to do the busy work and focus on making my best stuff for you guys!

LL, check the situation with other creators.In Twitter, artists cross-pollinate a lot to get more visibility. Hazeker could re-post some of your Tweets and vice-versa. You could also create some backup accounts, post, and use tag, friends, and other creators help gain attention. Contact Twitter if you haven't already. Maybe there's something that can be done to get your account fully reinstated. Wish you the best!

Have you considered using YouTube and/or TikTok? Getting someone to post short videos along the lines of “I think something is wrong with my Shenhe” that is clearly a tease can get quite a few views - and you can include a link to your patreon. I’ve seen another YouTuber do that with slightly spicy skins and get 1mil plus views and they aren’t even his skins. The other thing would be to mention your “spicy site” for more. Then you could have a link.tree with the PH account and whatever else.

Take my opinion with a pinch of salt before hand. I mainly became a patron because of the Yoimiya mod you made. It was nicely curvy and showed alot of skin and set the benchmark for what kind of character mods I liked of yours and is still the mod I like the most on Yoimiya mainly because there's not many of them and the fact that it is a quality mod. Now the rest which are patreon only don't motivate me to continue my patronage, purely because they don't make me want to use them in game enough as they don't compete with other mods I have. For example the upcoming Jean mod, while it does look nice I wouldn't use it over the virgin killer mod I got from another creator for free. Same with the Ayaka Summer nude torso, and don't take offence but the Kirara maid outfit, there's simply not enough to it for me to want it. You get where I'm coming from. I'm not saying you're not creative enough but I will say you're lacking in how many NSFW genres you could explore what other modders haven't touched on. Such as trying to find a new curvy body type that people can't ignore. As having something unique and signature to yourself will always make people take notice. maybe trying to replicate NSFW genshin artists like Nyancha and others alike. That way if you're mods either get enough attention or the artist likes it enough they'll retweet it and help you get more attention from their fanbase. Maybe try a meme mod every now and again, like I've seen a Shrek Paimon mod, the weekly boss mods where it's Amber as Azhdaha and Zhongli as the Wolf. And also promote modding genshin, which yes can get you banned which is always a disclaimer but if you don't show you're UID and don't use any mods that unfairly give you an advantage then you should be fine. But people are too scared because they've put in so many hours or have whaled and don't want to lose what value that gives their account. Again I don't think you're bad at all but I do see how you could be doing so much more. Just as a small opinionated rant maybe how the rest of this I've written may come off as but I really don't see why the Keqing mod is pay walled behind the 2nd highest tier, maybe you're proud of it or you've spent alot of time on it or maybe it's just me comparing what I've gotten for free which I see as the same quality, it just doesn't make sense why it's behind that tier. Hope you take this with a pinch of salt and maybe even take some of the pointers, and by all means I'm not trying to cause offence with how I may be being a bit too blunt.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate that I'll simply never be able to outcompete the rest of the community put together - if your only goal is to get lewd mods, you're going to find more variety with better chance of fitting your taste going for the stuff on gamebanana. For my part... I can only put out so much content - and even the amount I'm doing is currently straining me when I have to do so much behind the scenes (including this whole thing with the marketing). So what I try to focus on are a couple things... things I want to produce (because that keeps me happy and working on this stuff), stuff that others tell me that they like (a lot of people telling me a lot of things - so I have to figure out based on all that noise), and providing a reasonable variety to cover a wide range of tastes. Hopefully I've succeeded to some degree on those things! So in a sense - I could do a lot more... but in a more serious sense - I'm already spending full time working hours on this stuff, and also seeking external help to improve the amount I put out! Eventually, I hope to meet your expectations!

Not only in America, China, Japan, and South Korea are also huge markets with potential. They have enough consumption capacity. If you realise this, then you already have your answer to why you're losing subs and popularity. Demand is in nsfw and a specific kind of lewd at that. If you don't supply it then you can kind of see where it goes.

Personally, as far as retention goes, I think spreading out the skins to different characters would help. I There are a lot of new skins for characters that you already made skins for previously which, IMO, isn't as exciting as getting skins for characters that don't have one yet. Not saying to not do any new things or variants for existing skins but spreading out to different characters would be nice, especially the super lewd variants with plugs and stuff, I think that's what you compete with, not all the other artists do that stuff as often or as well.

you'll pick up more traffic when more things get released in genshin, since its kind of a dry spell at the moment. but people will funnel in once Fontaine comes and you start doing new characters. another option is doing some type of give away (every so often) or even make it where a winner can pick any character to be modded and pick how they wanted it.

I'll say I learned about you and your mods from that e-hentai gallery (and subsequently subscribed to this patreon and started modding my genshin), so setting galleries showing off the mods over there seems like it can work out for some outreach.

As a reference idea, you can find the Genshin Impact anchor or short video creator, provide them with your module for free, and ask them to use your module in live broadcast or works and attach your patreon link. This may require some promotional expenses, but it saves time. Meanwhile, this may not be as easy as not all players like modules, and promoters may consider the risk of game account lockdowns or their fans not liking them. Another suggestion is that you can choose to live the process of creating your module. It may be boring, but as far as I know, some people like to watch it.
