I mean not really, it's a throwback to cheesy 80s and 90s dating guide VHS tapes honestly. Media existed before YouTube. Plus it's they're too generalizing, presenting society as vanilla and bland, and a monoculture of "everyone should/does act this way". People are more unique and individual than that otherwise everyone acts like clones of each other.

Agreed, simpler times, and Yoda yeah obviously people have their own individual likes and tastes. Still do, but I don't think you're getting what he means or are just overthinking the statement.
