That was a hard one to watch. Thx for this. Check out extended versions of Lord of the Rings. They are better then usual movies. ;)

The movie was based on a true story but is fictional. That cemetery they are at is the American Cemetery that is in France on the cliffs above those D-Day beaches. There are a lot of Americans buried there that were killed on D-Day on the beach and some killed around Normandy in the days and weeks following.

I know I am late to the party and this may never get read, just wanted to say... don't pay attention to the media here in the USA. They have an agenda to make it appear as though we are a divided country, however the reality is that most Americans are still patriotic.

The guys in band of brothers went in the night before on the planes when they first invaded Europe to liberate. These guys invaded the beaches of normandy, France. This was D-Day (the invasion of Europe). At the same time these guys landed on the beaches, Captain Winters and Easy company were taking out the artillery in the second episode of band of brothers
