IT'S COME DOWN TO THIS. One of these three will be our Dec 18th Christmas Boars Gore and Swords episode. It's going to be either Vampire Weekend Anime, a made-for-BBC Richard Curtis movie, or Hallmark-level Christmas schmaltz starring Rose McIver from iZombie. We shall do as the Bannermen wish.

Ivan & Red: If you both feel so inclined, I would greatly enjoy hearing your takes on Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archives. I've read/listened to the first two books (Way of Kings and Words of Radiance) and admire and enjoy his "world building," "magic systems," diverse characters, and long term plot development. At times his prose is clunky and his dialogue can give the reader (for lack of a better phrase), douche chills. When not at his worst, and nowhere near his best, Sanderson writes as if for the YA demographic. And yet, I admire Sanderson and will forge on to his third book in the series. Note: Had I thought Martin would ever complete Winds of Winter, the above request (and critique) would be a moot point. Best, Duke
