Greetings Followers!

We hope you’ve all enjoyed the festive season – we’re back after a short break with big reveal of 2024’s first set of Miniatures. Fair warning, this year is going to begin BIG.

The Accursed Ettin

January’s first collection is the Accursed Ettin. A host of humungous horrors with a mighty appetite.

The many-headed ettin are a perversion of nature, believed to be the malformed and outcast offspring of giant kin. They devour, grow, and copulate, each subsequent generation born ever more grotesque and misshapen than the last…

Considering the size of these brutes, we’ve taken a lot of care to optimise the models for a convenient and easy print. You’ll notice that each model is carefully cut to help obscure joins, and features plenty of large drainage holes, making print-processing a breeze.

Penitent Heroes

January’s Penitent Heroes features a trio of rugged warriors, well-suited for Adventures in the dreaded Wilds of Doaden. What secrets lie in the terrible past, remains to be seen…

The Wilds

Our second collection focuses on the more terrible beasts that dwell within the Wilds of Doaden.

In the untamed wilds of the Doaden lurk the horrors of nature. Perverted by the land’s corruption, they are strange and horrible things. From the deep forests and darkened woods to the shadowed mountains and the grassy plains, adventurers must be cautious. For no place is safe from the rabid beasts and strange monstrosities that prowl beyond the borders of civilization. Every shadow or rustling leaf could conceal a predator from one’s darkest nightmares, ready to pounce for the kill.

RPG Adventures

January’s 5E and Forbidden Psalm Adventures will focus on the Accursed Ettin.

The once serene peaks of the Giant's Cradle have become a source of terror. Villages along the mountain’s base speak of horrifying encounters; livestock slaughtered, travelers gone missing, and giant shadows crashing through the trees at night.

Whatever these giant monsters are, they have been becoming ever bolder and more aggressive, sparking fear and panic among the populace. Adventurers are called upon to ascend the treacherous slopes of the Giant’s Cradle and end this looming threat.

As usual, you’ll also be receiving 5E Stat Blocks for all the monsters from January – so gear up your travel sessions for some surprise rabbit fights!

Path of Penitence Update – Alex has been hard at work this December working on the updated version of the PoP Campaign Guide, we’ve had eyes on the finished book, and it is absolutely gorgeous. We’ll be launching this in January, so the team has time to properly chew on this mighty tome and show it off in all it’s glory!

Loyalty Rewards Programme

If you’ve only just joined us, you might not be aware of our Loyalty Programme, where your ongoing support is rewarded with a host of awesome miniatures! With Season 2 having just launched, expect to see more awesome miniatures joining the programme soon!

Hope you’re all looking forward to 2024’s first drop – let us know in the comments which models you’re most excited about!

Cheers,

Bestiarum Team

As an Alaskan, I would have appreciated a wall hung Jackalope head to mount on the wall like you would a deer or something. We have lots of those back home as a kind of state wide inside joke. We tell tourists they are real and to look out for them and everyone has different bullshit stories they tell and it kind of takes on a life on its own. I might be able to take that too resting one (you want a boring face like a taxidermy head is usually), separate the head area, blow it up to life size rabbit head (the real mounted ones are a real rabbit but the head is mounted like a deer which is already a goofy things, then you attach young shed antlers to the top), cut a shield style mount out of wood, put it all together and put that sucker up!

Hey Folks! We've updated the Nightmare Beast after some feedback from y'all - it's been scaled about about 20%, so the corpses & skulls scale properly with the rest of our range. Nightmare Beast is now on a whopping 150mm Base. Cheers, Bestiarum Crew

Fun bit of trivia, the Jackalope is the Wyoming state official mythical beast. One set of lore involves getting greenhorns to hunt them in the style of a snipe hunt, but they are told that they are wicked fast and will bite through your shins so you need to wear stovepipes on your legs as shinguards. The image of somebody falling for that makes me laugh so very much.
