We’re extremely excited to finally unveil our plans for our first Kickstarter Campaign – The Tormentor Cults. Returning to the place where it all began for Bestiarum, this campaign will complete the faction, and include some exclusive new content we think you’ll love!

We’ll be revealing more over the coming weeks, but here’s a peek at what’s in store!

New & Exclusive Tormentor Cults

The campaign will feature a bunch of new and never-before seen miniatures, including extra poses for classic sets, a tonne of miserable prisoners, plus, a brand new set of 6 Heroes of the Tormentor Cult – can you pick them all out from the mists of anguish?

Joining the Miniatures, we’re working on some brand new RPG content for 5E and Forbidden Psalm.

The 5E side begins with a Faction Supplement book, designed to help you bring the Cult’s insipid influence to your table, plus a set of new & revamped Adventures. The Forbidden Psalm Scenario will be a fun, pick-up-and-play experience, battling infernal cultists and vanquishing greater entities brought forth from the Prison Realm.

Cover Art is Temporary - Stay tuned for the real reveals!

What if I already have Tormentor Cults Part 1 and Part 2?

We’re conscious that many of you already own copies of Tormentor Cults Part 1 and Part 2, here’s how we’ve made sure to cater for you folks:

The Exclusive Kickstarter Content will be available separately on its own, accessibly priced tier. Including the new Heroes & RPG Content. The Prisoner sets will be available as addons.

Any optimisations, extra poses, and new supports for existing models will be uploaded to their original sets, meaning you don’t need to purchase again to access those quality improvements.

Loyalty Rewards

And, as promised, we’ll be introducing a Loyalty Incentive, that ensures our loyal All-In Tier supporters receive all the RPG Content, and for those of you on the STL Tier (and All In) your Loyalty will grant you 10 Hollowed Souls, pitiful denizens of the Prison Realm.

This Loyalty Programme is exclusive to the people who stay subscribed for March, April and May, the duration of the campaign, so now is the time to act! If you miss out, these rewards will be accessible by backing the campaign.

Why Kickstarter?

There’s a few reasons we’re choosing to run a Kickstarter Campaign, outside of our usual monthly subscription. Firstly, it lets us take the necessary time and consideration to completing the Faction, with new assets that don’t fit in our monthly offerings.

Secondly, we’ll be using this campaign to make a big launch for the Cults as a Physical Product. With our manufacturing partner, Dungeon Artefacts, we’ll be launching the models in high-grade, extremely durable resin, to make them more accessible for a broader audience.

Lastly, and most importantly, this Campaign is intended to generate funds for the next (and massive) phase of development at Bestiarum – The creation of our own Game System! That’s right, after circling for some years now, we’re ready to embark on full development for our own system, a narratively driven, skirmish-scale tabletop experience, specifically designed to make the most of our unique miniatures!

We hope you’re looking forward to the campaign, getting this prepared has been a major undertaking for the whole team, and we couldn’t have achieved it without your valued support!

To keep up to date with the latest developments, we encourage you to head over to the prelaunch page, and sign up for updates!

Hollowed Sould look great but there did their weiners go? You pride yourself on realistic artwork and peices, have no problem showing it, but draw the line at genitals? I love the punk-rock-fuck-you approach to your work, why pull your punches now?

Any chance there will be an option for those of us at All-in tier that have part 2 and not part 1?

BestiarumMiniatures

So the short answer is the hollowed aren't exactly human anymore, they're shells, drained of their essence to feed the prison realm. The broader answer is more nuanced than we can easily cover in a comment. As you know, we're not shy about nudity in our work, but we're careful about when to use it - For the design team, it's a considered choice that has a meaningful impact on the model, both thematically, and visually - to use a poor metaphor, it's a 'tool' in our creative arsenal, that we employ when the model calls for it. It's not an easy point to articulate - the Werekin Alpha from Ragged Moor this month, or the Remade Cabalists you'll see tomorrow are good examples of this in practice!

After a bit of looking around I noticed that there is a discount code for 70% off the Tormentor Cults Part 1 under the Subscriber Benefits info. I'm assuming that's the best way to go.
