I think today I crossed the point of "I want to get this done as quickly as possible so I could move on to the next project". This turned out more challenging that I thought, and I don't think I would be doing it again, but no doubt I've learned a thing or two that I'm going to utilize in my upcoming project:

I think the best utilization of what I learned from this is redrawing assets, but you really don't need to do that for every frame like I did here, and especially not redraw the whole picture)
