Weekly Progress #32 (Patreon)

So this week, I finished two projects. One was a standard animation, and the other was my collab entry.

I finally finished the Kanna animation. Although I was struggling with getting rid of the black from Kanna's jacket, once I applied lighting to the scenes, the black stuff went away. I still had to animate the jacket during certain scenes in the video, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Despite the fact there were some tricky stuff in the animation, it was fun to work on. With that said, the video should come out April 14th. Here are some screen shots.

The final video I worked on was my entry for the Bad Jojokes collab. The biggest problem with this animation was lighting the video. For some reason, the map had issues in which the light will randomly disappear. This issue alone caused me to spend 1.5 hours just to light the scene! Otherwise, the video was pretty straightforward. It should come out April 21st along with the Bad Jojokes 4 collab video. Here are a few screenshots.

This Week's Ongoing Project
After I finished the Pucchi video, I decided my newest priority is to finally finish the “Sombra's Been Hacking DVA” video. As you guys know, I've been trying to finish this animation for some time now. However, with the fact I needed to finish the Kanna and the Neptunia videos, I've been putting this video on the back burner. Anyway, I only worked on the first thirty seconds, so I doubt I'll be able to finish the animation this week. However, I believe I will finish it next week if I'm lucky. Here are some screenshots.

Last week, I mentioned that I thought of a Monster Musume parody involving Miia since she's the only character I could get a model of. Well, I finished the script this week and will start looking for voice actors for the project. I feel like Naomified, who voiced Rem in the Re:Zero video I recently didwould be perfect to voice Miia. I still need to find the other voice actors, but I'm pretty confident I'll find some.

I also started recruiting voice actors for the “Lelouch's New Army” video. Originally, I wanted to get Purpleeyeswtf to voice him, but sadly I wasn't able to reach him. So I decided to cast P.M Seymour to voice Lelouch since I feel like his voice is similar to Johhny Young Bosch who voiced Lelouch in Code Geass's English dub. However, I've been struggling trying to find the right person to voice Suzaku. The problem is that...I have no idea how Suzaku should sound. I thought I would get Purpleeyeswtf to voice him, but since I cannot get him to voice the character, I need to think of how his voice should sound like.

This Week's New Ideas
Got a lot of new Ideas this week. One idea I got from my Breath of the Wild livestream in which everything breaks on Link. The problem with this idea is that I figured out an ending pun, it's just that I'm having some problems figuring out how to transition to that pun.

Next idea is another Jojo animation in which Rohan fails to realize that he's been put into an alternate universe. Apparently I got this idea from a friend who said that in the George Joestar novel, Rohan along with someone else remembers the what happened prior to the universal reset in part 6. Unlike the Zelda idea, I do not have an outline or anything for this animation.

The final idea I have is for another Naruto animation. This one will focus on Naruto's son, Boruto who I think is the literal definition of a spoiled millennial. If you read the manga, then you know that Boruto complains that his father is never around (even though he is) and Sasuke is his idol. Like the Rohan idea, I do not have an outline of the script. Just an underlying idea.

Review Hiatus
After a couple weeks of thinking, I decided that I will put the reviews on a 2-3 month hiatus. I want to take this time to develop a proper backlog for the reviews so I can release them constantly. I plan to make an official announcement on the channel sometime next week or the week after.
