Weekly Progress #21 (Patreon)

So I got a lot of projects done this week and I do mean a lot. So let's talk about them.

This Week's Finished Projects

I'll talk about all of the projects that either came out this week, or will come out by the end of this week. The first video that came out this week was an animation I did based off my friend's Overwatch Mistle-FOE comic dub. Although I animated the whole comic dub last Sunday's SFM livestream, I decided to add one more joke to the comic dub by making fun of the whole Widowmaker x Tracer ship sinking after the comic revealed Tracer's not only gay but also has a girlfriend. Next project that will come out tomorrow is MRW: 2016. Though a few people disagreed, I thought this was a weird/ kinda bad year. Sure it was great for channel growth, but still a lot of stupid stuff related to gaming, politics, and pop culture happened . So I decided to make a quick video spoofing the year. $5+ Patrons should be able to see the video now, but everyone else should be able to see the video tomorrow. Here are a couple screenshots from the video.

Now for future projects. I finished “It Came From Tumblr 8” last Saturday. All I really needed to do was render and edit the video. As for the issue I had for the spy, I know the issue has to do with the HWM files being overridden (though I do not remember doing that). However, I did not have to time to fix it since I used skin 23 of the Spy. Anyway, the video is finished and will come out the first week of March. 

The next video I honestly didn't expect to finish this week was Osomatsu San ED 1. Honestly, this was a fun project for me. There were a lot of scenes in the video that I couldn't help but find funny. Most of them were any scene with Ichimatsu. Though I was a little concerned that I couldn't work on the video because it required using the spy, I just used skin 23 like I did in the Tumblr video. Either way, the video should come out the second week of March. 

This Week's Ongoing Projects

During this week, I realized that I need to start working on shorting videos since I cannot keep spending 1-2 weeks animating longer videos. It's putting too much stress on me and I need to work on shorter projects in between. However, since most of my videos follow a Robot Chicken format in terms of humor, I need to make sure that the shorter videos are still funny and still align with the level of humor on the channel.

So not only did I finished the script for a  Re: Zero parody but I asked Ram and Rem's voice actors from Gigguk's Re: Zero parody video to reprise their roles. The animation is a pretty short so I anticipate that I will work it on this weekend. 

A lot of projects that I tried to work on months ago are slowly falling into place. One project in particular is my Evangelion parody which focuses on the struggles of Nerv headquarters' therapists. Prof. Kranc has been really helpful for the project by getting all of the voice actorst. I'm not sure the when I will work on the animation, but I'm sure I'll work on it after working on a few other animations. 

I finally got all the lines for that Kira video. What I'm planning to do is make my entry for the fourth Bad Jojokes collab. However, I plan on not only putting the video in the collab video, but also upload it as a separate video on the channel. 

I also chose the 10 stories for the DAB video and will write the script for the #STOPTHEDAB video sometime next week. I plan on doing what I did with the Roast video which is animate a few stories per week before releasing the video in April.

This Week's New Ideas

I have a few new ideas involving Naruto. One of them is reviving a project I tried working a long time ago in which Sakura goes to marriage counseling because Sasuke is a terrible husband. I scrapped the project because I had difficulty animating the Sakura model because it only had facial bones. However, I should be able to animate the model now. 

Another idea I had...was another Naruto parody. I have no idea why I came up with two Naruto video ideas. Maybe I just wanted to make fun of Naruto a lot...I don't know. Anyway, the basic premise I have for this video is that Naruto is sold the rights to his life to a movie company. I'm still trying to figure out the script, so don't expect the script to be finished any time soon.

Taking A Break

I plan on not uploading any videos to the channel starting Jan 2nd. Videos will resume their normal schedule on Jan 20th. However, to make sure Youtube doesn't consider my channel “dead” I will be livestreaming playing a few games during the hiatus. I will be launching the website and the Discord on Jan 2nd, so be on the look out for that.
