This Week's Finished Projects

The only project I finished this week was my entry for Hoovytube's “Heavy's Mafia Experience” collab. Basically, for my entry, I wanted to spoof Nintendo's assholish behavior when it comes to their fangames by having Heavy carrying out a hit on a fan game developer. If you haven't seen the animation, then you can check it out here.

This Week's Ongoing Projects

Technically, I'm almost done with the tumblr animation but I didn't render the scenes yet, so it's still considered “an ongoing project.” I don't really have a lot to comment on this one other than this bizarre glitch in which Spy's hands look way too disfigured for some bizarre reason. I plan on trying to troubleshoot the issue tomorrow, but if I can't figure it out, then I'll use a different model for that part. Here are a couple screen shots from the video.

Since the tumblr video is basically done, I begun to work on the next SFM AMV on the channel based on Osomatsu-San's ED 1, Six Same Faces. To lessen the stress on me, I will be animating the TV size version of the song. For this project, I anticipate that I will be using a lot of After Effects work, so this might be another long project. I will say that I do like animating Ichimatsu's part since I'm basically making him seem cold-hearted and callous throughout the animation. Other than that, I don't really have anything else to add about the project. For now, here are some screenshots from the video.

The Osomatsu-San animation is going to take some time to finish, so I plan on working on another short “It Came From Social Media” video on the side. However, I plan on scheduling the video to be released out in April so that way it'll prevent the possibility of having videos of the same topic back-to-back. This “It Came From Social Media” will be an animation based on Prozd's “Love Commentary” video that he posted on Twitter. He gave me his blessings for the video, so hopefully it should be good.

I started gathering voice actors for the Venom Snake and Frieza video. Both of these projects couldn't have been done without Punished Valentine's help. He pointed to me several voice actors who could pull off the perfect Vegeta, Kaz, and William Shatner impressions. All I need is one more voice actor for the Frieza video, and I can start working on that project on the side while I work on the Osomatsu-San animation. The Venom Snake project going to be a bit more complicated since I need to find a voice actor who could pull off the perfect Revelover Ocelot (MGSV). I'm just going to continue looking for now.

I also finished the script for another “Gangsta Mario” animation poking fun at this whole fangame situation with Nintendo. Normally, I don't make the same joke twice, but I find the whole situation Nintendo is pulling on fangames to be absolutely dickish and thus deserving to be satirized some more. I plan on getting the same voice actor I got from the Heavy video to reprise his role and he might voice a couple of other characters for the video.

For the Sombra video, I finally got Deadjosey's Sombra lines. The only line left for that video is DVA's, who will be voiced by LiaVA. Hopefully, I should get the lines soon since Lia is on holiday break right now.

Finally, I got Gao's lines for the Kira video. I just need to find one more voice actor for that video then I can get started animating it. The problem is that I'm not sure if I'm going to release this as a separate animation, or have this in the fourth Bad Jojokes collab. I'm mostly leaning on making it a separate video since I have an idea for my collab video involving Speedwagon.

This Week's New Ideas

This week, I cam up with a couple of ideas for more “It Came From Social Media” videos. Last Saturday, my friends Box and Gao streamed Mario Kart 8 (on Gao's channels) with a couple of other friends. The whole highlight of the video was a clan of Waluigi's hunting down Baby Mario and Luigi throughout the races. I'm going to look through the stream and decide which parts I want to animate when I get the chance.

The second “It Came From Social Media” video I want to work on involves a couple of posts from Overwatch.txt. Though I feel like a lot of you heard of this channel, I'm going just let you guys know it's a Twitter account dedicated to posting memes about Overwatch. I do have several friends who could do good Overwatch impressions, so this could happen.

Finally, I recently came across a channel called “5 Second Films” and there are a lot of good videos on the channel. They're extremely short, but they're something I could animate various segments of and cobble together.

Discord, and Website Status

I'm almost done with the website. I just need to test out a couple more features as well as refine the design a bit more. I also started typing out several articles for the site since I want this site to attract anime and video game fans that regularly read blogs. I anticipate I will launch the site on January 2nd.

I also finished creating the Discord group, but I want to launch it in January. However, I would like some help testing it since this is the first time I'm hosting a Discord group. If you're interested in trying it out, just message me  on Patreon, Twitter, etc to let me know.

And that's basically it! Thanks you guy for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day or night!
