Sorry for the absence of posts last week, but I was wrapping up work with DeathBattle. With that said, here’s what have I been doing.

One of the things I worked on in August was my Super Sonico video. I won’t go into too much detail since the animation came out a few days ago. If you have not seen the video, you can check out at the following link!

In the last progress post, I mentioned that I wrapped up Episode 2 of Gohanverse and am working on Episode 3. I am just wrapping up work on Episode 3, which is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY longer than Episode 1 and 2. In fact, from the looks of it, it may be the longest animation I released this year since it might be 5-minute vid. Even though this might be 5 minutes long, I’m about 3.5 minutes into the animation. One thing to note about this one is that I applied a lot of what I learned from my Deathbattle work to the Emo Gohan and Slick Goku fight portion of the animation. Either way, I anticipate the Episode 3 will be finished by the end of the month.

I also finished the bulk of the animation for the Endeavor/Todoroki video I’m working on. There were some hiccups along the way, such as rigging a new Todoroki model, Momo, and finding a quick VA for Deku. But I’m really liking how it’s turning out. The only things left to do are to clean up and animation, do the color grading, render and edit the video. I anticipate I will be releasing the full animation October 13th, just a day after the first episode of MHA season 4. Prior to that, $10 Patrons will be able to see it the moment I’m done, and $5 Patrons will get it a week before.

During the month of August, I decided that I will be doing a parody of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, focusing on Pyra and Rex’s interaction in Chapter 1 of XC2. One thing to note is that this parody will be more of a satire of cancel culture, since it’s been a hot topic as of late. Unlike the previous Blender animations I’ve done, this is going to be a bit more difficult to work on in terms of shaders. In XC2, the skin of the models had soft shadows instead of hard shadows seen in my previous videos. Also, the skin for the Pyra’s model is not close to how it looks in the game, so I had to do slight alterations to the textures. I’m going to begin work on the parody immediately after the Endeavor video.

Another video I’m working on is the sequel to Oh My Dio, which will focus on the fight between Dio and Speedwagon. I finished the script and in the process of getting it storyboarded. I also want to discuss my plans for Oh My Dio. Unlike my other videos, I’m treating this Oh My Dio video as a possible pilot for an Oh My Dio series. If it seems like a lot of people like the video, then I plan on creating a backlog of episodes for it, like Gohanverse. Again, this all depends on its reception.

Finally, I begun the animation for the next Nekopara video. This parody…is going to take some time to do. This is going to be a 3-minute-long video from the looks of it, which is way longer than the other Blender videos I worked on thus far. Not to mention, there’s going to be a lot of stuff I never tried in Blender before. However, I’m confident this will be one of the best videos I’ve done to date.

Okay, and that’s it! Also, a couple reminders: I’m late for the monthly digital goody bag, but I will be rolling this month’s version out hopefully by next week as well as WIP posts of a few  current animation projects. Once again, everyone, thank you for the support, and I hope you have a wonderful day or night! See ya!
