Completed Projects
To my surprise, I finished three animations since the last post. The first is a short Neptunia animation, second is the My Hero Academia parody, and the last is the Dragonball Broly animation.

I’m proud to say that I finished the very first Blender animation on the channel. It took way longer than I anticipated, but I hope that the next time it takes to make Blender animations will be shorter. I will say that I plan on going back to fixing a few models and re-rendering the shots with them. For the most part, I’m happy how it turned out. Expect the animation to come out this June.

Next up is the My Hero Academia animation. I had to balance working on this project with working on another commission. For this animation, I applied a self-illum material to the models in order to make them have a flatter look. The models ended up do looking flatter but lighting proved to be extremely annoying. One of my friends recommended that I look into emissive shading for the anime models since they work well with the Xenoblade models on the SFM workshop. Either way, expect the animation to drop in July.

Finally, I just wrapped up the Broly parody. In fact, I just finished the last bit of lighting for this video before I typed this post. I originally intended to use Xenoverse models for the skit (in fact Frieza is a Xenoverse model), but one of my friends gifted me a new Broly and Gogeta models for the skit. These models look WAY better than the Xenoverse ones, but they did come with their fair share of issues. For example, part of Broly’s head has a gap in it that had to be filled.  

Ongoing Projects
So I don’t think I mentioned it to you guys, but I recently got invited into a Newgrounds One Piece collab. Initially, I intended to release a Blender animation for the collab, but I realized I don’t have the necessary experience to do a Blender animation for a big project like this. So, I decided to work on the Zoro and Perona animation for the collab. Like the MHA video, I put a self illum material on Zoro and Perona, which I know will cause difficulty in lighting down the line. I might remove the self-illum on the models if they don’t look too bad without it.

The other BIG project I’m working on is a mini series for Emo Gohan. For the past couple weeks, I wrote various scripts for a seven part mini series for Emo Gohan which I’m calling “Gohanverse.” The series will focus on Teen Gohan Black kidnapping Chi Chi to “make her less of a slut.” It’s up to Emo Gohan to obtain the power of El Blanco to save her. I started work on the first episode and I plan to work on the project every night.

Hamster Face Man Project
Peixoto just finished the palette swappable Ninja model for my Hamster Face Man short animation project. The only thing left to do is get the scenery done and I’ll start work on the animation shortly.
