Welcome to the new monthly progress post format. I will be posting these monthly updates the first of every month if not a couple days after. With that said, let me discuss everything I did in June.

Completed Projects
I had to split my time  since I was commissioned by Gumbino to do a Toy Story animation. The models…weren’t the best, but I was able to animate a running sequence in the video, which I never really done before. You can find the link to the animation here.

The other project I finished was the new format to the T-Shirt commercials. Instead of going with the “Trying to Impress” format, I decided to give Gohan his own show in which he shamelessly plugs merch. I published the first video featuring Kakyoin, which can be found here.

Now for the bigger projects. The first project I finished was the next Fate/Stay parody involving Archer, Rin, and Emiya. This was honestly a pain to animate due to some unexpected issues that came up for the animation. One of the problems that came up was Rin’s cheeks were red for some reason. Then there was a problem with the mansion in which a weird flickering thing kept occurring, and then Emiya’s model had some weird bending issue. But hot damn, this is one of the best-looking animations I’ve ever done. While the models were a pain to work, they looked really good in the lighting setup I did. Either way, expect the animation to come out sometime in October.

I also worked on two more MRW videos for Shonen Jump month. One of the videos is a Hunter X Hunter video, and the other is a Fist of the North star animation. Like the Fate/Stay video, the Hunter X Hunter models came with so many issues. There was something initially wrong with Gon’s eyes, then Hisoka’s model had weird arm bending when I applied a rig, but I managed to fix it in the end. As for the Fist of the North Star animation, I honestly do not have any complaints about the work I did for it. The Kenshiro model I used was fairly simple to use and I didn’t run into any issues with it. In fact, I enjoyed animating some of the bizarre faces for Kenshiro. With that said, expect these animations to come out this July.

Finally, the other animation I managed to finish was a Patreon commission by one of you guys. This was another Overwatch animation based off the following comic. I had to wait a while to work on it since I wanted permission to animate it by the comic’s original artist. This was also another animation I worked on in which I changed up my animation technique a bit. If you haven’t watched the video, then you can watch it here.

Ongoing Projects
The current project I’m working on is the first SAO parody on the channel. This animation is focused around Kirito and Asuna getting a divorce and some of the weird dialog in between the reasons why they’re trying to get one. One thing I’m doing for this animation is that I’m using an anime shader that Finalleet recommended I should use for anime models. When I lowered the tonescale map for the models, they look great. In fact, some of the weird issues that happen with anime models are non-existent for these models. The problem is that I won’t have full control of the lighting like if I do it in the black void map I’ve been using. However, if it’ll make the models look better, then I cannot complain.

I’ve been also chipping away in terms of gathering voice actors for the Astoflo, and MGSV commissions I have. I talked to the commissioners and they gave me permission to upload these animations as part of the fall schedule as long as I show it to them ahead of time. I also wrote the script for another Sonic parody since I saw positive feedback for the Knuckles video. I’ll ask Prince Vegeta to voice Sonic and I’ll need to find a VA for Classic Sonic.

Another project I managed to get the models for is a possible YuGiOh animation for the channel involving Yami and Kaiba. The models look pretty decent aside from a few blemishes that might need to be cleaned up. I gathered the VAs for the project and plan to work on it after the SAO video.

New Ideas
No new ideas now since I need to finish the current projects on my plate.

Weekly Hangouts
If you’re a member on my Discord server, I decided that I will be doing weekly hangouts in the Patreon/Twitch Sub chat there. I plan to hold it every Sat at 6PM EST. If you want to participate in these hangouts, here’s the link.

And that’s it! Thank you guys for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day or night! See ya!
