Weekly Progress #77 & #78 (Patreon)
Content
I want to start this off by apologizing for the long delay with Weekly Progress #77. I had to take care of several IRL things during that week, causing me to delay a lot of things which include animations I was supposed to do that week. With that said, let’s get right into it.
This Week’s Completed Projects
I finally finished the “Oh My Dio” video, which I’m honestly proud of. Though I feel like the humor is dryer than the previous Jojo videos, it is the most well-animated and well-lit out of all of them. Like I said previously, this video will be released in July as a part of Shounen Jump Month since Jojo Part 3 was published during Shounen Jump’s run. With that said, here are some screenshots.
This Week’s Ongoing Projects
I have…a lot of ongoing projects to do. Most of them don’t really rank high on the pressure scale, but there is one in particular that does.
The first project I worked on during the week before being swapped with IRL stuff was the next Boruto parody on the channel. I only animated…Sakura’s scene in the video since it was the shortest scene for it. The scene build was simple, but I forgot how annoying lip synching some of the models were. After I finished the scene, I took a break since I wanted to work on something more interesting.
So as a joke, I asked my friend Guiman if he could port a Shaggy model to SFM. After he ported the model, I had…an idea. Seeing a lot of the “Shaggy Ultra Instinct” memes, I decided to put him in the next official Dragonball video on the channel. The Shaggy model isn’t perfect and I can tell posing his fingers are going to be difficult to work with, but it’ll be worth it. I also decided that the Shaggy video will be released during Shounen Jump month since it is a Dragonball parody.
The project I’ll be spending a lot of time on this week is the “Jimmy Reviews Dakimakura Body Pillows” video. I expected it to take a long time like the animated skits for the last review, but it turns out that there are a small number of animated scenes. Still, I’m kinda worried if I’ll be able to finish the video since I REALLY want to release it around April Fools’. However, from the looks of the animation progress of the video, I should be able to finish it on time.
I finished the script for the next Fate parody on the channel involving Astolfo and still drafting ideas for the MGS parody that one of the patrons here asked me to work on. I’m still thinking of ways to segway into the joke he requested, but I’m getting there. Another script I finished was for the first Sword Art Online parody on the channel since I found the right models needed for the parody. However, I don’t expect to work on the parody for a while since I want to finish all of the main content for Shounen Jump month first.
This Week’s New Ideas
Thanks to Anubis (one 3D modeler I’ve been talking to recently) he managed to make an Asta model. Though it still needs a bit of work, this looks shockingly close to the character in the manga/anime. I already have a video idea for Asta and just need to write the script.
From one of my anime news sources, I learned that Monster Musume will be getting a season 2 in the fall. I will be thinking of a Monster Musume parody in the meantime.
And that’s it! Thank you guys for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day or night! See ya!
