Weekly Progress #74 (Patreon)

This Week’s Completed Project
The animation for the Master Emerald video is done. Originally, I thought lighting for video would be a difficult thing, but it was a lot simpler than I thought. By increasing the FarZ Attenuation on the Key and Fill lights, the lights were able to successfully light the whole environment. I plan to use this technique for future videos that require a large environment to light. Technically speaking, I’m still waiting for the sound editor to finish adding the sound effects but the video is basically done. The Knuckles video should come out during the summer. This Week’s Ongoing Projects
One of the projects I started to work on is the fourth Q and A video. I only animated a few scenes thus far, but there aren’t a lot of animated scenes in the video, so I anticipate I will be finished with the video this week. Here’s a screenshot from the video.

The project I will be focusing the most on is the “Nero the Artist” video. Got to say, the Nero model required a lot of modifying since it came with a lot of Ambient Occlusion issues. However, the person who ported the Nero model fixed the issue and I can focus animating the video. I don’t really have a lot to comment on since I only animated 16 seconds of the video. Here’s the only screenshot for the video.

I finally wrote the script for a Pokemon parody, which I had difficulty doing since I couldn’t find the right Pokemon models to use. However, I found some Pokemon MMD models on Bowlroll a few days ago and could be ported to SFM. I’m going to go back and edit the script since I feel like the jokes in it could be tighter in some scenes. Despite finishing the script, I still have to find the right voice actors who could do a good Ash, Brock, Misty, and Officer Jenny impression. Also, I still need to contact one of my friends to port the Pokemon models to SFM. Either way, stay tuned for that project.

This Week’s New Ideas
I do have a parody idea based on the Toguro Brothers from Yu Yu Hakusho. Since there are no models for them, I’ll most likely commission Peixoto21 to make them.  The only issue I have is whether people remember them, so I plan to work on and release the video later on this year.
