Ok serious question before I watch this – is this one of those games that’s going to be best experienced if I go in as blind as possible? Because I am definitely planning on playing this one

Sid

This reminds me of the film "Click" I watched a long time ago.

I worked in a real estate office for a couple years. Generally speaking, I'd interact with people for a minute to two minutes tops while they dropped off their payments, but it was amazing how much you might learn about someone and watch their life unfold just to know them casually for two minutes a month.

You should definitely play the game, but I basically built this entire video around not doing spoilers so I think you'll be fine.

The concept of taking a second of video every day is extremely compelling to me. I have a lot of trouble feeling present and my ADHD makes my perception of time and memory can be pretty bad. I think I’ll give it a try, if I can’t be present I’ll at least be able to remember :) Thank you for this. Your videos always make me feel better.

Another channel came out with a video on this game recently. And I just looked at it and thought "I bet Jacob Geller will make one of his poems on this"... And there it is. I'm looking forward to reading your book, or watching your full length movie, or whatever... Please don't blink and forget to make that thing only you can...

BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Max Goldstein

Architect of Games, right? Yeah I was worried that Jacob got scooped, but they each had very different angles on the game and the videos wound up being more complimentary than duplicative.

Eyyy J

Beautiful as always Jacob! I actually just started taking 1 second videos just before you released this, and I find them very compelling as well

Great video! I picked this game up when you tweeted about it a couple of months back and I absolutely loved it. The use of the metronome and time skips in the video was a very clever way to convey the feeling of playing the game and really enhanced the "review" aspect of the video IMO. All that aside, I'm super hyped to see you playing Pathologic 2 in the credits. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on that one!

Amazing. Thank you Jacob.

Well, now I gotta play this. Great video, this was really well done!

I've watched this 3 times already. Amazing work as always, Jacob, and thank you for sharing this wonderful experience with us :)

I gotta ask: Did you plan your time skips around when you actually blinked? Weird question but it seems like that would fit comfortably with how you've described your editing.

I watched, then bought and played the game, and it was really really fantastic. One of the most affecting things I've seen/played in a very long time.

Hey, Jacob. Just wanted to mention that i've been talking a lot about identity, memories and etc with my therapist because i recently lost two developed 35mm films, each with 36 pictures. One of them had the last trip my family will take (for a while) with an uncle and aunt of mine who we are very close friends with and it's been really quite hard coming to grips with the concept of... losing these memories. This video, as each and every single one of your's, has given me insight into this subject and i'd like to thank you, immensely, for that.

And also, as a coincidence, i've been doing the 1SE this entire year too, it's been fun!

I hope I’m not too late for the Directors Commentary video to ask a question, but do you think if we forget parts of our lives we would regain some of that slowness of time we have as children? If I can only remember a certain percentage of my life, does the speed at which a year passes get to some upper limit because I can’t possibly remember anything more? I think there might be more philosophical implications of this question but I’m not sure of them at the moment. I would love to hear your thoughts though
