Hey y'all,

Despite my consistent denial of the passage of time, it is somehow December. Good news though! There will be two vids this month (and maybe in January too!), both a standard Geller-y video essay and a more loosely scripted one on my favorite games of the year. They're both fun vids, and I'm excited to put them up. HOWEVER, I wanted to let you know because my Patreon is currently set up to charge per video, and I didn't want to blindside anyone with a double payment, especially in Holiday season, at the end of a really hard year, etc etc.

If you'd like to adjust this, it's easy to do so- in the "Manage Memberships" section, you can set up your membership to pay a max of one time per month, essentially making it a monthly charge. I am immensely grateful to all of your support, and don't want anyone to find themselves in a unexpectedly precarious position because of me.

Sincerel-

Wait, actually two more things.

1. If you'd like to get a jump start on the next vid's topic, it might not be a bad idea to play Kitty Horrorshow's collection "Haunted Cities 4" within the next week.

2. Don't want to tell anyone what to get as gifts this holiday season...but there may or may not be a merch store opening soon 👀. Here's a sneak peek of one of 'em.

Hey Jacob, I know you are a big fan of music in video games. I would like to shar with you the "Deep Stone Lullaby". This song plays after the second encounter on the newest raid in Destiny 2 "Deep Stone Crypt". The music starts playing right after an encounter that left players stuck for hours (my teams was stuck here 12 hours on day 1), and it really brings to life the beauty of videogames. When the song starts, you are in space, with gunshots sound muffled, and with an important lore character explaining where you are, and what it is all supposed to be. Hope you enjoy the song :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBIJFTPPp-8

I cited 'Cities without people' in my Bachelor thesis!... so I would love to see some more videos including energy resources problems and climate change... and when I first finished your 'Cities Without People' and heard the music from Outer Wilds, I started crying. So I made myself a tea with my own tears and it was tears tea :3 And seeing Opałka's face (on whom I had worked many years ago) was so so so... can't find... there are no words for such a sentiment. love from Switzerland <3
