Personal point of view from JacRios.

The early days.
(You can skip this and just read the last paragraph if you want.)

I remember clearly the day when I decide to make this game, one day in 2019 I just woke up with one idea: A game that was reactive, simple, vanilla and has a great varierity of dialogue and interactions, that day I just edit an image, posted online and ask for people to make a new eroge which would appeal a wide range of public for its content~...

At the time our team was conformed by ten people, writters, artists and programmers... with more and more days passing since the first ideas for the game, how was gonna be developed and what we could offer to the public, our team was reduced every couple of days... personal issues, time restraining, lost of interest, etc., I don't want to make those who abandoned the game even before the first build feel guilty because they left, however, I could not avoid feeling sad and dissapointed in myself for being an awful team leader...

However, one person was still in the project, Sack, and without any monetary motive to being on the project, she take her role as the main artist and we start making the first build.

Sack and the development of this game.

At the begining this game was an Artificial Academy ripoff, lets say an AA2-2D. A lot of things where suppose to be simple.

For example, like in some simulation games, Rei (The MC) wasn't going to talk at all, just very simple questions and answers, however, Sack mention how seing them not talking was weird, and then I put more dialogues for them, she start creating the sprites and building Rei personalitie, while I have no idea what to do with Rei, Sack just start adding details like they studying photographie, which to this day its baffles me because the job that I lost because of the pandemy was related to that and she didn't knew. Then Sack starts talking more and more abut Rei, they have a good family relationship, Rei is kind and innocent to some degree, more and more details, Sack becomes the responsible of Rei personality and traits, even if she is not the main writter and just add some dialogues here and there, she is a great part of the story behind the characters, mostly Rei.

Differences between the begining and now.

The game became more complex, more story telling, fun, romatic and so on, right now we are really pleased with the state of the project, we like the characters, the story and art-style. We know that there is more room of improvement, maybe some scenarios and art could be better, and that is why we are whiling to hear all the feedback, read the comments, fix errors and improve the writting, we are in a place where we are comfort but there is still more work to do.

Did you know...?, this game was in color but because we became just two persons working on it, ended up being black and white to reduce time~, now we embrace that style in the game.

Mental health.

For some is a serious thing, but for others an excuse for lazyness and development hell... but I have to said it: I have depression and was suspected of being authistic, (Not like a meme, but for real.) a result that I never knew because people died during the pandemy. Not gonna lie, developing the game is hard, sometimes the preasure is really big even if no one is being rude asking me for updates, some nights are really harsh for no reason and others very spiring...

For that reason now...
(This is that last paragraph.)

This mean that I want to slow the pace of development or ask for more time?, Feck no!, I don't want my mental health becoming an excuse for being lazy, that is why now I want to announced that I'm going to make a bigger effort with the game!, there is more to do, more things to give our Patrons, people who want this project finish and good, people investing money, time and attentiont in this project, there is not time to step back, just to keep forwad!

I lost my job due to COVID-19 and I never considered make this project my job, but I realize if I don't try to make a job from something that I love, I'm gonna be stuck in this cycle of lazyness, dissapointments and debts. 

Great changes.

Life time rewards.

Of course, a lot of people release their games on Ich.io and there is no more to say about it. But, for our Patrons we are planing to give the game for those who reach the price of the game in pledges ($12.ºº), because something that happen whit some projects is that people spend a lot investing on pledges, misses the release of the game and they have to pay for the game even if the give more than what it cost. That is why we are going to take that strategie.

Of course, I can't give something for those who are giving us more than what the game is gonna cost, for those I have no words to express my gratitud, however...

More rewards.

We want to give more rewards per month, more art, this time more consistent and a lot of polls, there is a big announcement on december that is going to give us more reasons to do polls... is something that we are keeping secret for some time, but now is gonna be finally reveal~

There is a long time since I draw something and Sack can't always deliver art because she is trying hard on her own, still, she wants to draw more for the project and I hope my art-style is also worth.

For now on, imrpoving.

We read all the comments, heard all the feedback and think about the project... we want to improve, our time in the future not only will be focus on expanding the game, also in improving and be better.

There are things that we are not going to change because our artistic choice and preference, still we are willing to heard about any feedback that can improve the game in various aspects. From art to dialogues, there are things that foreshadow future events and others that can't be modified so much because coding, however, any suggestion is welcome.

And thats it.

As everyone can see, now we have goals, I'm gonna try to make this game my full time work for some months, I hope it works, if this don't result don't worry, I'm not going to drop the game while I'm alive, maybe just reduce the work time but without stop. Even if that happen, the rewards are gonna be better than we already give to you now.

This changes are gonna be implemented during december, I hope the new surprise that we are going to show during december will please you and get you more excited for the game. For now, I have a lot of work to do, full time working in the game now, see you next time~
