Patreon Update, Small Changes to the Page, and More! (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Wanted to let you all in on a couple changes on the patreon page. First thing is one you may have noticed if you looked at the home page recently, I have decided to un-list the Iron tier. This is for a few reasons but the main of which is, after fees and everything else patreon takes, not much is made and not much is given to the user. It's far better to spend a couple dollars more for gold and get access to things rather than just support to support, even more so when patreon takes nearly all of it. It was also not a super popular tier, and I think the page looks better without it.

That being said, if you are an Iron tier member you still are, it is just not listed and people can no longer join it. I suggest you upgrade to Gold or above to get the most out of patreon, but that is your call. You will still get all the stuff iron had if you stay at that tier, so really the only change is you can no longer get the role or tier.

The second thing is something the new patrons may have noticed. Patreon recently gave me the option to use what they call "Subscription billing". This is the most common way to handle monthly subscription and what most people expect. Patreon by default is on a first of the month bases which can be a bit confusing to some. Keep in mind, this will not change anything for old patrons. You will still be billed the same as before, this applies for new patrons or people who upgrade. I just want things to be as clear and easy to understand as possible and not to confuse old supporters either.

So in summary:

-Iron Tier and role is now "legacy" meaning it's no longer available. Nothing will change for those in that tier, really just a change for new people

-New patrons will now have the more common "subscription billing" method when they sign up (billed once month from the day they signed up vs the first of each month
