Reflection: I'm going to judge a cosplay contest! (Patreon)

A little throwback thursday with a Velma picture from last year! I really love this set :D

This week I'll tell you about something I wanted to try for a long time, and that will happen this saturday: I'll help to judge a cosplay contest! It's a bit different from my usual posts here but I'm glad to share this exciting experience with you. 

Here in France both costume crafting and performances are very important during the masquerade, and with my experience with cosplay and performance arts (I took dance and theater classes during all my childhood and teenage years!) I feel like I'll be able to see all the hard work contestant put in the show. It's a huge responsability, even if it'll be for a "small" contest! 

I'm a bit impressed to be honest, and I feel like this kind of role is not to be taken lightly, especially with cosplayers like me who often get targeted for creating erotic content, as if our sexier side erases our other skills entirely. I really thanks the convention for giving me this chance and I'll take this role very seriously! 

I will tell you more about this experience next week of course :) I always saw this role as a very difficult one because every cosplayer in a contest puts a lot of passion, money and time in their costume and performance, sometimes on very different points, so it can be hard to decide who deserves to win a prize. I'll tell you if it's a justified impression ^-^
