Work Notes: Himari's Training 230113 (Patreon)

I have not this challenging of a character for a very long time. Himari's design is very simple, but hits on a few SD weakpoints.

Starting Off With ControlNet - ControlNet results in lower quality images, which makes sense because you are trying to corral the AI to a very specific type of image. 

I experimented with using the Canny preprocessor to put Himari onto a sex machine. Unfortunately, it doesn't work completely. A really big reason is that the base camera angle is not great. If I am using Canny (Controlnet), I need to get the camera angle just right, or SD will give you exactly that 'wide shot' look. What you input is also what you output.

I shall practice more with ControlNet and try to get better results!

Himari's Hair - Himari's hair isn't easy to generate, it looks like small tufts from the front, which is easily mis-recognized as Xiangling-like hair. SD is not wrong on that, it just looks like Chinese buns most of the time. ChameleonAI's Himari LORA is the only one around, so I might have to look into how he prompts his images... They also frequently turn into red ribbons which ressemble Shinomiya Kaguya's ribbons. Most of my time was spent trying to get her not to look like Xiangling (laugh).

Himari's Hair 2 - Himari also has a problem with her hair color. In the first episode of Mato, I distinctly remember her hair being dark blue, but her hair appears as greenish-blue in episode two...! Not to mention that fanart is very inconsistent on her hair color as well. Its a very unique problem to the LORA, so I opted for her to have dark black hair like her mother (?).

Open_Clothes > torn_clothes - makes for torn clothing much more consistently than torn_clothes. For the 'clothing that has been torn' effect you have to specify the body part you want to see exposed afterwards.

Revisiting Old Concepts - I am slowly moving back some old LORAs and prompts, the chain-collar and machine bondage stuff is very familiar to me, so I was quite happy to use it again. One interesting thing is that in the LORA tab you can now view training data for your LORAs.

Which Machine Bondage LORA is the Best? - It depends on what you are using it for. Anson's BDSM LORA is good for making girls trapped in cultivation tanks; TwoMoreTimes has a 'hard' and locked style, but the concepts are well baked into the LORA. Rerorero's LORA sometimes affects style, but has all the important concepts, and is good at sitting poses. I have briefly experimented with mixing these LORAs up and they create very interesting combinations! I think that's an important attitude to have; the willingness to experiment and go where convention does not tread.
