• Found a workaround for the Decal bug in DAZ Studio

For years, I wasn't able to use decals in DAZ because I use a lot of emissive mesh lights in my environments/projects and at distances the decals would bleed lights THROUGH them.

So, let's say I use a decal on a character - a bunch of droplets to show wetness - if I had a light would shine THROUGH that decal as if the underlying parts of that character were see-through.

The way I fixed it, for you fellow DAZ'ers, is by using a geoshell. Select the object/mesh/character you want the decal on, create a geoshell and put the decal on the geoshell instead of the original object/mesh/character.

Then, turn the geoshell invisible. Don't make it "not visible". Go into the surfaces and turn the opacity down entirely.

Now it shouldn't bleed lights anymore.


• Nightclub Scenebuild

Worked on a nightclub for a bit. Started by assembling assets that would fit and blocking out the main stage and dancefloor.

I want to set this place up in a way that I can change the lighting very easily. Like the floors from a cold tone, to a warm tone, to a disco-vibe, to a techno-vibe.
