Daria Officer Outfit

Her outfit is made out of one model, but I separated the shirt and pants parts. Luckily the original model was set up in a way that it was somewhat easy to do.

Now she can be shirtless, have her pants opened or pulled down and it has more flexibility in what's possible.

During the creation of the render today I noticed that the tie wasn't simulating nicely. So I removed that too and replaced it with a stand-alone tie model that is very nice to simulate.

Gas Station Optimizations

It was very hard to get a preview and a render out of the gas station, the two characters and the police car out front at the same time. So I had to reduce more textures in the environment to get it barely under 24GB VRam usage.

Daria alone put the VRam usage around 9-11GB, so with Regina also it's not exactly doubled, but it didn't leave a lot of space left for the environment. But it works!

Still need to sort more of the environment out and categorize them neatly and efficiently though.

God I love Daria so much especially in a police uniform

Hey man I had a request. If you still have the 25K group scene saved would it be possible to get a couple extra renders from that? I love that scene and I think it would be cool to see it from alternate angles. Maybe just swing the camera around without fiddling with the lighting? Totally cool if you cant btw. Just wanted to ask.

Daria taking up that much VRam. What an absolute unit. They both look great in their respective outfits. And from the previous WIPs and this, really love how this gas station is turning out. Really capturing that dirty/dreary look Have a great weekend SloP!

I changed it from the previous wip, it was a bit too cute and neat. Glad ya like! I like how their tattoo on their collarbone peeps out from under the top.

:) love this outfit too. Especially since its a bit more flexible to work with now.

I don't know, it was really made just for that angle so the lighting that is in place just works for that one angle. It was also made in a big rush, so there's a few parts that are not finished or unposed. It's really not as simple as swinging the camera around and pressing render. The entire group wasn't possible in one go, so that's two renders already per angle, that's a couple of days of rendering. Then editing and putting it together. Masking things out, it's a lot of work. It's hours of work for something that I think doesn't need? I think thebgroup pic is really good, adding more angles wouldnt make it better. But hey, we can do a party set at some point! Like the pool party set a while back?

Cool man and thx for explaining it to me. So how does that work exactly? Your making 2 renders of the scene and blending them together somehow? Is it because of high res textures and lack of vram to get it all in 1 shot? That’s interesting.

slop_art

Pretty much, yes. After looking again, the group shot is made out of 4 renders and then blended together in post. It's all the 4K-8K textures on the characters and the detailed environment that exceed the 24GB VRAM limit, yeah. So, if you want alternative shots of this group, that'd be another 4 renders, maybe more and a lot more blending work. Would you like a party set, instead? Maybe a characters' birthday or a special holiday coming up?

Sure that sounds awesome. Whatever is good for you. It sounds like these are a ton of work and take a long time to render. Sounds like a great idea tho.
