Making environments is a tiring, long and unfulfilling part of the job. It's a lot of looking around and choosing assets which gets boring quickly, but it's necessary. It also feels unproductive, because I can't get official content out of only an environment.

When I make a characters' home, I try to show as much about them as possible or at least hint at some depth. I actually write out character traits and backstories for my characters, I think it'll be interesting to see if you can figure some stuff out about Nina once his apartment is done.

I hate it hahaha. What do you like about it? I just hate that I need to pick and choose every single piece and find the tiniest objects from a huge ass list.

The care and time you take over this does show. A well-realized environment definitely makes for more believable characters and images, which I really like.
