Tumblr's Terms of Service (Patreon)

I just got hit with one of these in my mail inbox. The important part is highlighted.

I backtracked the image and it's a video game character who's likeness is from an actress/actor. Apparently Tumblr doesn't like that anymore so it got removed.

It's a real shame, I really liked the image and it also means I will no longer be able to upload a lot of content to Tumblr.

Anybody got any cool alternatives? I don't know if Pixiv is that popular these days?

That sucks... And Pixiv from what I've seen works pretty well.

Pixiv not that popular!? You kidding right its only the best place to post stuff short of making your own discord server. Pixiv even has its own patreon like system build in to the site.

Pixiv is okay, but you have to censor genitalia because of the stupid japanese laws. However, you can link to the file hosted on a third party server. You could also just blur the preview picture on tumblr and link to the actual file on a third party host as well, it should be fine.

I'm not sure that's accurate, there's plenty of work on Pixiv without censorship. I think you just need to mark it as R-18.

You only have to censor the public image. The public image is the first image before you click into the image stack. Once you have clicked into the image stack all images after the first are no longer affected by the public censorhip law.

I'm getting some mixed info, some people sources say you need to censor it, some say you don't have to if you tag it as such. Some sources also say because it's 3D not 2D, it's exempt from the censorship rule. I see so much uncensored work on Pixiv, from popular creators, I'm gonna take my chances. This is an excerpt from the Pixiv Encyclopedia: While it is important for any R-18 related illustrations to be given a mosaic or censor treatment before submission, there are users who actually ignore the rule and proceeded with their submission without any edits, fully showing all private parts. In this case, the tag "Uncensored" will be necessary in order to prevent any unnecessary problems. The submission for anything uncensored is actually allowed unofficially by the management, however for anything uncensored for 2D will be considered illegal under Japan's Penal Code 175 "Illegal under the distribution of things obscene and pornographic" category, hence almost every R-18 illustration submitted in this site is censored. It is due to that reason, uncensored hentai illustrations are considered very hard to find, and is considered by many to be rare and valuable. One interesting thing to note is that there are many illustrations that do not actually warrant an uncensored tag, making any genuine uncensored illustrations to be even harder to find than it already is.

Pixiv FANBOX is the go, just like Patreon but more flexible upon censorship, info image is slightly censored (line thru genitalia) but link will offer full original works.
