Progress Report - 08/02/2020 (Patreon)

Let me start off with the breakdown here:

I'm going to take some time with the night scene. This isn't going to be a long second half but it is an important one. A lot of things are happening that are going to alter the course of the future for multiple characters. Once we wrap up Act Six, we're going to work on the final Act Seven. And then I'll take a month or two, at least, for an extra bonus Act 8 which will feature a lot of intimate bonding between the characters. And if you feel like Leah isn't going to get enough time with the characters, you're not wrong. But I have plans to make her a big part of PfyT. So we'll see a lot more of here in Avalon and then a lot of her in PfyT. I promise!

I've reworked the writing in Act One. It should be easier to read, the humor has been updated, the characters are more mature. The characters have really grown and changed over the course of my journey writing Avalon so I wanted those traits to be reflected in the earlier Acts as well. So if you guys like the way Act One is redone, I'll do it for Act Two as well. Let me know. 

It really is going to take the rest of the year to finish Avalon. Once again, I'm going to start doing some training for myself on Thursdays starting after the next release. This is so that Penny for Your Thoughts will be much more involved with the player. I want more choices, more options, more visuals that jump out at you, and more animations. So I'm going to take the rest of the year to finish up Avalon and learn new things for my next project.

A lot of people don't consider the fact that this is a learning experience. I did not jump into writing Visual Novels with all the knowledge and experience I need to make a top-rated novel. Some of the complaints I've heard recently are that the characters look too doll-like, some lines of dialogue could be condensed into fewer lines, people really don't like the rape aspect, they want more lewd scenes. The list is really long. And... I hear you! I'm going into PfyT with all this taken into consideration and I'm going to do a lot better with that project. So I hope you guys will be there for Penny for Your Thoughts because it's going to be something really special.

I just wanted to get that out there. But now on to the spoiler! I did a little naughty scene for you guys over the weekend because I don't have any sexy spoilers to show yet. So here's something not naughty.

The return of Evans! He only has a brief part to play but it's important.
