I'm not 100% sold on the ultra smooth style, it might actually look better at lower framerate.  What do you guys think?

I think I like this style better <a href="https://satinminions.com/img/TG-Animation-WIP-03.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://satinminions.com/img/TG-Animation-WIP-03.html</a> <a href="https://satinminions.com/img/TG-Animation-WIP-02.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://satinminions.com/img/TG-Animation-WIP-02.html</a> But my mind could be biased because of the level of done-ness. How do you mean "ultra smooth"?

I made this in a vector based program that I've been working on and interpolated it up to 30fps. Every line in one key frame is matched up with a line in the next key frame, and then the in-between frames are computed automatically. The result is very smooth, but flaws in the animation are more visible in some cases. For the animations you linked, I just drew a bunch of frames in photoshop and they play at 12fps. Drawing every in-between frame is more work and adds some jitter, but you don't have to worry about matching up every line for small details like eyelashes.

I see it now. I like the above animation, and if it saves you time or effort it seems worth it.
