This episode reminded me of something I saw in the manhwa, about a Dr. Grantham, who was mentioned in this episode as a famous doctor who modernized medicine and had great influence. Don't think he's a still alive in the story but he is described as a true genius, and Dr. Graham thought maybe Elise was like him. I think I had the thought when I read about him that maybe he was another isekai'd guy who knew about more modern medicine and maybe that's the reason that a lot of things seem anachronistic. Just a theory at this point. Looking at everything in the anime, the time looks like it might even be as late as a 1915-ish time period so maybe you can justify more advancement (but where are the cars, then? You can't trust anime fantasy time period to be all aligned, especially European.) Also Linden's magic is very limited, it's his family only, it's disguise only, and it needs some sort of amulet to activate. At least so far.

As an aside, I take levothyroxine for hypothyroidism and I always thought it was strange that TSH was high when T4 production is low in my bloodwork. I knew kinda why it was like that, but your diagram made it a bit clearer (I didn't know about that TSH stimulator.)

Yep, it's all a negative feedback loop. Most hormone systems in your body are. There are a slight few positive feeback loops (such as oxytocin during childbirth).
