[ SPOILERS ⚠️ for those who wandered here despite the warnings that this is a spoilery video ] i still think the op world may just end up having the past similar to our earth lol. and literally got flooded by gods, like in our mythologies. that would be kinda awesome. like, anachrońistic magical pirates over the graves of the old civilization swimming towards the dawn and the future as the past of the world that birthed them all is literally supporting their feet on their journey … being the floor of their oceans. I also believe the driving force behind Imu’s mission is to preserve the unmatched beauty of the world. she may believe the beauty lies in undisturbed order and may want to preserve the world as much as possible, maybe she saw the war and decided to never let it happen again as the monuments and people were being destroyed left and right… and she may seen pirates, revolutionaries, or free will in general as disturbers and obstacles to this goal. she may just believe she is in the right and is keeping everybody in their right place. that she is necessary. that she is inevitable… why beauty? three things. the mariejois itself, those rooms preserving artifacts, she lives in a fkin garden, and her symbols are BUTTERFLIES. also PURITY as the theme of celestial dragons. and egghead island literally looks like a fried egg from above huh, we didnt see that from the manga did we :) NICE. plus Imu seeing living beings as obstacles to order with their obnoxious free wills and dreams is very fitting. truly the devil, as opposed to god who gave humans free will, she is the sauron lol.
