To answer your question, yes the hooded person is Unohana’s Zanpakuto. Briefly at the beginning of the arc Murumasa said that he used Unohana, Ukitake and Kyoraku’s zanpakuto’s combined power to help seal Yama since they had the strongest Spiritual pressure’s out of all the other captains.
