Paul was probably as strong with the sword in his prime as Rudy is with magic. he was clearly way better than everybody else in his party. way above them. even elinalise. from what we v seen. damn. what he lacked was iq in other areas and stremgth of character. love this writing. he was so damn human. hero level but also very very human.

the whole point of rudy losing his hand was so that you could see that even with his level of skills, even he could not regrow so much as a hand so that when you see paul shortly after you already know that it not a healable wound
