I wonder if Elise is going to end up having to choose to perform surgery or take her exam. Provided she lives and gets past all of the obstacles in her way. It's scary that the two nobles hired a bunch of others to search the gardens. Someone is in the process of saving her right now, though. It could be Linden, but maybe it's someone else, possibly Mikhail? And there's a lot of other problems to be solved. Possibly there are a couple of fair-minded individuals around who can help. There's Juliane. And I can't help but notice I haven't seen bangs guy. Maybe you were right not to trust him as you said near the beginning of the series.

Medically, (Disclaimer: NOT a doctor) I see few if any clues in the show to what is causing this. He was drinking maybe a little too much at the event. He looked pale to Elise even before he drank the cup. Beyond this, I am speculating completely. I didn't know a person spit up blood when they have a heart attack, isn't that more typical of something like an aneurysm, or maybe blood in the lungs? High pressure in the pulmonary circulation? CHF? Could that cause a Heart Attack? And they talk about shock. Didn't someone else have shock from low blood volume in this show at the beginning? They seem to have x-rays but not very good other imaging methods. I had thought before that they might have more advanced medicine than expected at this time period because maybe they had some previous reincarnators who influenced medicine. There are blood tests that detect a cardiac or muscle enzyme that is released when muscle cells die. Elise mentioned something about cardiotonic meds but they never brought it up again, and you didn't use that terminology, so I don't know what that means. I didn't see them give the king any meds, just supportive care.

yes it's all very vague right now, which is why I hesitated to go into a lot of detail. There's just too many options and I don't want to spend an hour trying to go over everything haha
