Assuming the system continues follows a video-game style, the job change is probably using “job” similar to “class” which some games do (e.g., some of the Final Fantasy series). So, next episode we might see him pick a specialization like thief, assassin, or monk (based on his speed-based martial build so far) whereas someone more magic focused might go with one of the different mage archetypes (black, white, red, etc.) or something like a summoner.
