There was Thai awards this year because it was being held in Bangkok. The venue was the 48000 seat Rajamangala Stadium. I’m not sure if there was a formal vote on who the Thai Artists would be. I suspect they chose it based on who was available to attend the awards - ZeeNuNew and GeminiFourth were announced as special guests shortly after the awards were announced to be held in Bangkok. I think the Thai government petitioned for them to be held there. It makes more sense for NuNew to perform solo despite both of them technically receiving the award - Nhu is working toward being an international recording artists, whereas I suspect Zee will be content with the occasional Ost, performing on stage with NuNew and DMD, and whatever he ends up releasing under DMD music. Music is Nhu’s dream, not his.
