I *think* I read that they didn't release it as a series in Korea originally (presumably because they didn't manage to cut a deal with anyone), but since it did so well internationally that now they are going to release the full show in Korea instead of just the movie. And they have talked a lot about getting a series 2, but I've been burnt enough times to take that with a giant pinch of salt.
