I understand Pat but still he tend to take everything personally. I got that problem once in the past, I took every criticism at a personal level I got what I suppose to get: anxiety; to the point I had to take medication. This does not excuse the toxic environment where Pat is working. Those co-worker are really the worst. I am still not sure about Jeng, he seems a good guy but put a facade at the moment he enter in work mode (which Pat should actually do to preserve himself). as for Put, we got nothing yet in our hand. Pat's friends are great though, Nan also is great, we are not in pitch darkness.

So... Jeng is actually trying to save the department and the older employees all acting a fool. Also, there is a certain irony in a digital marketing department being so full of seniority and tradition. I mean, it feels real because Japan is the same way, but it is ridiculous when you think about it. Eveything digital is about being cutting edge, not using systems that were built thousands of years ago. Love Pat finally snapping in that meeting. Soooo wrong time and place, but FINALLY!!! Ironic too that Pat has take it all this time and the time he snaps is the time Jeng sees, so he thinks Pat is emotional and immature, when he is the opposite. Also, Jeng is a good boss by Western standards, but in traditional, seniority-oriented Asia, not so much. They say Professor Google in Thailand too? We say Google Sensei and Wikipedia Sensei in Japan. lol You talk about this being a real office portrayal. It so is. I don't think I have seen a single thing here that I have not seen with my own eyes here in Japan. good or bad, this is Asian work culture.
