Yemi 語学者 (BLJapanTaiwan)

The Japanese dialogue is too funny. Everyone around them keeps using the word 'naked' in conversation. The book they focus in on during the clean up scenes is a yearbook. Combined with the 'You haven't changed' line, it is a nod to them going to school together. The store owner said "Phainn-se". That's Taiwanese Hokkien for sorry. Last week we had a Thai cameo and now our store owner is Taiwanese! They giving these little easter eggs for the rest of the BL world. Actually, I just realised I know this guy. That's Figaro Tseng. He is a Taiwanese actor and I have seen him in sooo many Taiwanese shows. Who knew his Japanese was this good?!?!? Also, just peeped MDL and Yoza Eriku (Shou Yi's Dad from WBL) is listed. Though he seems to mainly operate in Taiwan, he is actually Japanese. And the grandmother is Taiwanese-born... Is this show actually a Japan-Taiwan colab? Ajo!!! Spanish for garlic is Japanese for idiot/azzhole. (It is stronger or weaker depending on what region of Japan.) Baka is idiot in Japanese and vaca is cow in Spanish. Who did this script? There are so many little linguistic things. Went poking about the show website, and they actually have the recipes and their food consultant is from an international food show on the Japan equivalent of the BBC. I am loving this show. It is light and funny and we get introduced to different foods.
