Jannika K

his mother is okey if they have money, the same thing she said when she met king for the first time when she thought he was his boyfriend.

The cat scene was really good 🤭🤯😍 For Krit been at Uea's mom's house, well, can't say much because don't want to spoil so I will just say that this guy is the worst!! Let's wait for next week! Like always, thank you for your reaction! 🤗

Today's episode was great. The cat scene was FIRE!!! It is interesting, some of the best sex scenes do not involve sex. Not sure if Krit knows Uea's family or if he just turned up to the address on file at work. Going to jail and everything else is really different here. First of all, people in power are almost immune in Asia, because of the seniority thing. (I can not tell you the number of 'this friend of the Prime Minister should be arrested for rape, but he won't because he is who he is and the woman and her parents are nobodies" type stories I hear here. Much higher rate of getting away with things than the West. Then combine that with the fact that Krit is related to the CEO... nothing is going to happen to him at the company either. I mean that one dude in their department spends the whole day every day asleep because he is family. In real life nothing would happen to these people, so I can not imagine something happening in the series. I think King was a player since he did not have anyone in his life. The minute he did, he stopped all his player shenanigans and that was even before he liked Uea. I get why he went on the date. You do not say no to parents in Asia. You are never that grown. You could be 65 with your own grandkids, you still better yield to your parents. (My impression is probably even tougher than the situation in Thailand, because I am in Japan where your family name comes first, pretty much because your family is more important than you are.) You can try to reason with an older family member, but if they stick to their guns and you say no, it will turn into, "Look at how my child has dishonoured all the generations of this family since the patron saint made this country." So, I do not fault him for this situation. I do fault him for how he handled it. He should not have waited for Uea to come to him. He should have gone to Uea and said, "look my mom insists and I can not get out of it and I am going to go on this one date and get my mom off my back. None of what is going on between us has to change." It would also be made easier if he mentioned how he feels... I am trying to remember though how Uea worded the original bed friend contract. Was there an implication that they should not catch feelings, because if there was I could see why King would be afraid to say.

Nice, enjoy your reading! And in case you give in before the finale : you can read the book until chapter seventeen without spoiler for KingUea since episode six stop around mid-eighteen chapter 🤗 Just be aware that you will (or may?) have some spoiler about Jade's story since in the book both stories happen at the same time while in the series they made KingUea happen before so maybe they will change a lot of middleman's love, we'll see 😆

I like your analysis/ explanation! I guess it's true that from our European point of view (UK for Lydia and France for me), King not refusing his mother's match is hard to get since our culture (about education and family) is very different from Asian people. (I don't mean it in a bad way, just that since I started watching (Korean, Japanese, Thai, Taiwanese, and Chinese) dramas a few years ago I sometimes realised that there are situations, where my twenty-one years old self found hard to see them realistic (especially family issues and like Lydia said, the lack of consequences over those issues)).

Thanks. I am a Westerner (Barbadian) in Japan so I see both sides. Always ready to drop a culture note. Hopefully, I don't sound too preachy. lol
